Olivia Franco (Fed)

Olivia joined NIST in 2023 as a Physical Science Technician for the Biospecimen Science Group at the Hollings Marine Laboratory in Charleston, SC. Olivia’s main duties include providing scientific and technical support to group members by aiding with the NIST Standard Reference Material program and Biorepository Program. Olivia assists on several projects that the NIST Biorepository supports ranging from the processing and storage of marine mammal tissues to the production of reference materials (RMs) and standard reference materials (SRMs).

Prior to joining NIST Olivia worked in vaccine clinical research, received her M.S. from Georgetown University, and received her B.S. from Roger Williams University.
