Nicole Ausherman serves as a Senior Communications Specialist for Outreach and External Affairs at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) program. Nicole has over 25 years of experience in marketing and communications, with the last 9 years at NIST MEP. She has extensive knowledge of developing and executing creative concepts, marketing plans, web development, graphic design, and social media management in both the private and public sectors.
Prior to joining NIST MEP, Nicole started and managed a small, woman-owned business focused on web and design services, photography, and fine art. She has also worked for government contractors and design firms, where she conceptualized and implemented marketing campaigns with brand awareness, both online and in print, for clients ranging from start-ups to established companies.
Nicole helped establish and continues to assist with the management of a non-profit horse and cat rescue organization. She creates, manages, and oversees all marketing facets for this group, including print and web design, social media activity, photography, event planning, and community education.
Nicole received her Bachelor of Arts from McDaniel College.
