Katie Boeckl (Fed)

Privacy Risk Strategist

Katie Boeckl is a privacy risk strategist with the Privacy Engineering Program at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). In this role, Katie works to advance international privacy standards, develops privacy risk management guidelines, and manages the Privacy Engineering Collaboration Space. At NIST, she has helped to develop the NIST Privacy Framework and integrate privacy into multiple security publications, such as the Risk Management Framework and catalog of security and privacy controls. Katie has a B.A. in English from the University of Maryland, College Park, where she specialized in technology through a digital cultures program.
