Jennifer C. Horning (Fed)

Jennifer C. Horning is the secretary of the Materials and Structural Systems Division (MCRD) of the Engineering Laboratory (EL) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Ms. Horning supports the Materials and Construction Research Division, coordinating with the secretaries of its four groups. She has held this position since September 2007, and won the BFRL Support Staff Award in 2008. Prior to this, she was the secretary of the Polymeric Materials Group for nearly two years. From 1996 to 2005, Ms. Horning worked in NIST's Acquisition Management Division.

Ms. Horning graduated from Frederick Community College in 2007, a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honors Society, attaining high honors. Ms. Horning is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the field of Liberal Arts at American University.
