Dileep Reddy (IntlAssoc)

I hail from Bangalore, India. I spent my undergraduate years in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM). Soon after, I jumped ship and landed a doctoral degree from the Physics Department at the University of Oregon.

Current Research Projects

  1. Superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (SNSPD) device development and study of dynamics
  2. Novel SNSPD use cases (particle detection, caloriemetry)
  3. Integrated optics: fabrication toolset development
  4. Temporal-mode selective nonlinear optics

Selected Publications

  1. “Development of superconducting single-photon and photon-number resolving detectors for quantum applications,” A. E. Lita, Dileep V. Reddy, V. B. Verma, R. P. Mirin, and S. W. Nam, J. Lightwave Technol. 40 (23), 7578-7597 (2022).
  2. Broadband polarization insensitivity and high detection efficiency in high-fill-factor superconducting microwire single-photon detectors,” Dileep V. Reddy, N. Otrooshi, Sae Woo Nam, R. P. Mirin, and V. B. Verma, APL Photonics 7, 051302 (2022).
