Abstract
We propose a composite measurement method to characterize display performance and readability under daylight and sunlight illumination. The measurements are performed separately in a laboratory, then combined and scaled to daylight and sunlight levels. Low-resolution bidirectional reflectance distribution function measure-ments can be included to simulate hand-held-display utili-zation.
