Abstract

This digest contains the papers presented at the 2002 Symposium on Optical Fiber Measurements, a 2-1/2 day forum devoted to measurements of fibers, integrated optics, components and systems. Topics covered include measurement of polarization-mode dispersion chromatic dispersion and relative group delay, nonlinear coefficient, fiber amplifiers, multimode fibers, fiber geometry, polarization effects, and engineered fibers.
