Abstract
The reaction with hydroxyl radicals in the troposphere is the main atmospheric removal process for the majority of gases of industrial and natural origin. Their residence time in the atmosphere can be estimated based on the reactivity towards OH and some results of atmospheric modeling. The main laboratory techniques used to study OH reactivity are described and possible complications in accurate OH reaction kinetics measurements are discussed.Citation
