Abstract
In this experiment, reference instrument measurements of the chromaticity of retroreflective materials were compared with human visual perceptions of their colors under daytime conditions. A hue scaling method was used to measure perceived color. Four white and four yellow sample chromaticities were measured for six types of retroreflective materials, as well as one diffuse non-retroreflective material. The pattern of results obtained with instrument measurements were found to be consistent with human perceptual data.Proceedings Title
