Abstract
The first International Conference on Atomic and Molecular Data And Their Applications (ICAMDATA) took place at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Gaithersburg, MD USA, September 29 through October 2, 1997, with 180 participants from 20 countries. The main goals and topics of this conference are reviewed, and the contents of the invited lectures are summarized.
