Abstract
We relate the measurements by Ming Lei and Hassel Ledbetter (1991) of elastic moduli in strontium titanate near 37 K to a dynamical anharmonic mode coupling model. It is suggested that the effects are purely dynamic and not indicative of a true structural phase transition and that neither macroscopic coherence nor second sound is involved.
