Abstract

The International Joint Conference on the Application of Ferroelectrics (IFFF 2003) united the 13th IEEE International Symposium on the Application of Ferroelectrics (ISAF-XIII), the 14th International Symposium on Integrated Ferroelectrics (ISIF-XIV) and the 19th Meeting on Ferroelectric Materials and Applications (FMA-XIX) Proceedings from the Joint Conference are published in separate journals for each participating organization.This ISAF Proceedings consists of 120 submissions representing an exciting cross section of the presented at IFFF 2000. Papers are organized into oral and poster groupings in the conference and are further resorted according to the research field in this volume. The great majority of manuscript were during the meeting primarily for clarity and format, by session chairs and other volunteers and returned by the end of the conference to authors for required revisions. The Publications Committee is indebted to all those who contribute their time in the Publications Room, allowing manuscript processing to operate smoothly and efficiently. We particularly acknowledge all the graduate students who formed the backbone of this effort. Completion of this proceeding would not have been possible without the diligence of Ms. Michiko Fukutomi of Tokyo Institute of Technology who served as a secretary of the Publication Committee and who performed the majority of the final work required for ready the volumes for publication.
