Abstract
The National Institute of Standards and Technology maintains outreach in the International arena, both to participate in International metrology activities to support industry needs, and to promote cooperation with counterparts from other countries to adopt consistent measurement systems and enhance free trade. This report sumarizes the International and Academic activities by NIST staff for the fiscal years 1999 and 2000, through the Office of International and Academic Affairs, and by each Operating Unit. The coordination of all International and Academic activities in these programs is the responsibility of the Office of International and Academic Affairs. A list of International Agreements signed in these years is included, as well as a summary of foreign guest researchers and foreign visitors.
