Abstract
This paper describes a user-centered methodology to evaluate innovative, complex interactive visualizations (IVs) developed for information analysis. Our research goal is to develop innovative evaluation methods and sensitive metrics to understand how users interact with IVs. Focusing on experimental design, we highlight ways this methodology and its associated metrics are specialized for IV evaluation.Proceedings Title
