Abstract
We dispute recent claims by Navruz that his infinitesimal-deformation theory gives better predictions than the classical Wechsier-Lieberman-Read/Bowles-Mackenzie invariant-plane-strain theories. Indeed, we argue that the Navruz theory gives habit planes only near (011) and on the (OKl) line. We show results predicted by the Ledbetter-Dunn infinitesimal-deformation theory.
