Abstract
The 2005 Materials Research Society (MRS) Fall Meeting took place in the Hynes Convention Center and the Sheration Boston Hotel, starting the weekend following the Thanksgivings Holidays from November 27 to December 2. This large-scale meeting included forty-two technical symposia, eight symposium tutorials, four poster sessions, a popular Symposium X (Frontiers of Materials Research), an award ceremony, a fashion show, an exhibit, and various services including an employment center for the MRS members. The attendees this year was over 5000, with a total of more than 4000 papers presented in both oral and poster sessions. This report summarizes the events that took place that week.
