Abstract
The melting point of gallium %2829%2E7646%B0C%29 is a defining thermometric fixed point of the International Temperature Scale of 1990 %28ITS%2D90%29%2E Realization of this melting point is performed using a fixed%2Dpoint cell containing high%2Dpurity %28mass fraction %B3 99%2E99999%25pure%29 gallium%2E A 30kg single lot of gallium %28mass fraction %3D 99%2E9999956%25 pure%29 constituting Standard Reference Material%AE %28SRM%AE%291751 was evaluated%2C and certified as suitable for use in the realization of the melting%2Dpoint temperature of gallium for the ITS90%2E Based on results obtained with three fixed%2Dpoint cells containing random samples of SRM1751%2C the expanded uncertainty %28k%3D2%29 assigned to the melting%2Dpoint temperature of the gallium is 0%2E07 mK%2E In this document%2C the methods used for the fabrication of the gallium melting%2Dpoint cells and for the evaluation of SRM1751 are described%2E%0D%0A
