Abstract
Turbulent combustion remains a very active research area. This interest is justified due to the pivotal role it plays in a wide variety of technologically important processes. Development of models for combusting flows is crucial for the more efficient utilization of limited hydrocarbon fuel resources, reduction in environmentally harmful pollutants, more efficient chemical processes, and for the prediction of hazard associated with unwanted fire. An important subset of turbulent combustion is turbulent jet diffusion flames because they are relatively simple to generate, and because they provide an appropriate testbed for the development of more general theories for turbulent combustion.Proceedings Title
