Event Date/Time: April 28, 2026 | 1:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M.
Join the NIST NCCoE for the first session of a virtual working series to provide input on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) Cyber Artificial Intelligence (AI) Profile (“Cyber AI Profile").
To support these working sessions, the Cyber AI Profile team is releasing a series of short discussion essays. The purpose of these discussion essays is to help attendees effectively participate by providing insights into the topics that will be addressed during these working sessions and share potential ways forward that NIST is considering.
The discussion essay for Session #1 is now available!
The NIST Cyber AI Profile is intended to help organizations strategically adopt AI while addressing and prioritizing cybersecurity risks stemming from its advancements. In January 2026, the NIST NCCoE Cyber AI Profile team hosted a workshop to obtain feedback on the Preliminary Draft of the Cyber AI Profile and to identify cybersecurity priorities as AI adoption continues to grow. The takeaways from this workshop – recently shared in a blog post – have been instrumental in both creating the next draft of the Profile.
Building on the momentum from the January 2026 workshop, this virtual event series will continue the conversation and help shape the next version of the Cyber AI Profile.
Session #1 Topic Background: Updates to Profile Elements and Contents
The Cyber AI Profile is intended to support cybersecurity programs as they manage the impacts of advancements in AI to their organization. Inputs from the community called for more clearly describing the approaches used to develop the concepts and language in Profile elements, such as priorities and considerations. This session will invite feedback on proposed approaches for addressing this feedback in the next version of the Cyber AI Profile.
