The FISSEA Awareness and Training Contest provides the opportunity to showcase activities across six different categories:

  • Poster or Brochure
  • Website
  • Multimedia (Blog, Video, Audio, Podcast, etc.)
  • Email Campaign and/or Newsletter
  • Innovative Solution
  • Miscellaneous

Do you have great cybersecurity awareness and training program content and delivery methods that are used for federal employees that you would like to have recognized by peers? Did you implement an awareness idea that resulted in a positive impact in a federal government department or agency? Did you institute cybersecurity training that helped federal employees perform and meet the agency mission? If so, submit any entry to the contest today!

The FISSEA Awareness and Training Innovator of the Year is a federal employee, or contractor directly supporting federal employees, who has made significant contributions in inspiring the strategic planning, building, and management of innovative cybersecurity awareness and training programs.

Innovators may have roles such as cyber instructional curriculum developer, cybersecurity instructor, cybersecurity program manager, workforce development manager, and more!

2026 FISSEA Spring Forum

Save the date! The FISSEA Contest winners and Innovator of the Year will be announced at the FISSEA Spring forum, to be held on May 12, 2026, at 1-3pm ET.

We want to hear from you! Submit a proposal to speak at the Spring Forum. Share your ideas for a keynote, panel, or lightning talk. While the FISSEA call for speakers is open year-round, the priority deadline for consideration for the Spring Forum is March 6, 2026, at 11:59pm ET.
