2025 C-RMAP attendees
In early June, over 115 metrologists from state, county, and federal government laboratories gathered with manufacturing and industry laboratory metrologists in Portland, Oregon, to attend the NIST Office of Weights and Measures (OWM) 2025 Combined Regional Measurement Assurance Program (C-RMAP) training event.
Technical and quality management system training topics presented were based on state-requested needs, common laboratory assessment findings, and reviews of recent proficiency testing results. Volume liquid petroleum gas (LPG), thermometry, balance, and scale calibrations, uncertainty, and common ISO/IEC 17025:2017 non-conformities were a few of the training topics presented at C-RMAP.
Although OWM has delivered RMAP annual technical training events nationally for 35 years, the combined event is only held every 5 years. The 2025 C-RMAP event was a great success, and many thanks to the Oregon Department of Agriculture as the co-host for this important nationwide gathering of state laboratory metrology program representatives and stakeholders from across the U.S.
Congratulations to all the attendees and instructors within our amazing community who make this collaboration possible! We look forward to the upcoming 2026 RMAP cycle and welcome continued participation from all in the metrology community.
