The group is recognized for its partnership with NIST Operating Units to dramatically improve compliance with Departmental policy and achieve a 25.5% reduction in the purchase-card transaction error rate. The group is responsible for oversight of the NIST purchase card program in compliance with federal law, federal regulation, and applicable federal policies and procedures. They have implemented extensive training of both groups and individuals to target opportunities for improvement and to reduce NIST's financial risk for thousands of annual transactions.
