2023 AVS Fellow - Julia Scherschligt

Julia Scherschligt

In 2023 Julia Scherschligt received the honor of an AVS Fellow, in recognition for outstanding contributions to vacuum science and metrology as a scientific manager, leader, and researcher. The AVS Fellow is only awarded to members who have sustained and outstanding technical contributions in areas of interest to AVS. Her outstanding research contributions include developing critical standards in vacuum metrology that supports the manufacturing and research communities, such as the cold-atom vacuum standard (CAVS), the Vacuum Leaks (VALES) calibration system, the XHV flowmeter, and the XHV dynamic expansion system for setting known vacuum pressures.
