Michelle Stephens received the 2022 SPIE George W. Goddard Award in Space and Airborne Optics in recognition of technical innovation, mentoring, and exceptional leadership in pursuit of space-based fundamental measurements of the earth and sun, while reducing technological barriers, finding unique solutions, and promoting standards needed to foster economic growth and technical advancement of space and airborne optics.
