Mark Latonero (Fed)

Head of International Engagement, U.S. Center for AI Standards and Innovation

Mark Latonero is the head of international engagement at the U.S. Center for AI Standards and Innovation.  

Previously, Latonero was on detail as deputy director of the National AI Initiative Office at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. He also served as senior policy advisor for AI and international cooperation at NIST. He received the Department of Commerce Gold Medal Award. 

Latonero holds a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California, specializing in the impact of emerging technologies, and was a postdoctoral research scholar at the London School of Economics.
