Leicht is recognized for outstanding diligence, creativity and professionalism in the conduct of her duties supporting the Public Safety Communications Research project. Working in harmony with the Budget and Finance divisions, Leicht developed new processes and procedures specific to a new class of funding and managed the finances for the $300M program flawlessly, as evidenced by passing a Government Accountability Office and Department audit with no findings or recommendations.
