NIST Releases for Comment Special Publication 1800-13, Mobile Application Single Sign-On: Improving Authentication for Public Safety First Responders

The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence announced that it was accepting public comments on the draft NIST Special Publication 1800-13, Mobile Application Single Sign-On: Improving Authentication for Public Safety First Responders. This publication seeks to demonstrate, using standards-based commercially available and open source products, a reference design for multifactor authentication (MFA) and mobile single sign-on (SSO) for native and web applications, while improving interoperability between mobile platforms, applications, and identity providers irrespective of the application development platform used in their construction. The public comment period for the draft practice guide is open through June 18, 2018.
