Regional Commission Learns about Cybersecurity Education and Workforce Development Efforts

On July 13, 2017, Davina Pruitt-Mentle provided a briefing to the Northern Virginia Regional Commission on NIST’s efforts with the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) and cybersecurity workforce development, including the recent Request for Information and workshop announced to help fulfill a report to the President in response to an executive order. Davina, the Academic Lead for Engagement at NICE, focused on K-12 efforts in cybersecurity and themes taking place throughout the U.S.
