Subdiffraction optical motion transduction using a scalable plasmomechanical platform

Abstract

We present a scalable platform for producing a new class of reconfigurable plasmonic devices. Using localized-gap plasmon resonators exhibiting large quality factors, we demonstrate sensitive, plasmon-based measurement of mechanical motion from a deep subdiffraction region.
