The Boulder Micro-Fabrication Facility group is recognized for exemplifying NIST's commitment to safety by proactively identifying potential cleanroom safety problems and implementing changes through a collaborative decision-making model. The group worked closely with safety experts in the NIST Office of Safety, Health, and Environment, cleanroom users, and Physical Measurement Laboratory management to mitigate hazards in the complex cleanroom environment.
