The group is recognized for exceptional leadership in financial assistance management which was characterized by their strategic grasping of opportunities, overcoming continual challenges, and effective mobilization of resources to fulfill the mission of NIST and DOC. They strategically led their staff through expansion of internal and external grant programs authorized by IIJA, CHIPS, and the Consolidated Act of 2022 & 2023, during a period of uncertainty and rapid growth. This resulted in billions of dollars in award funding and the creation of a multi-faceted grants management division.
