2023 Bronze Medal Award

Headshot of Jason Coder Bronze award winner

AWARD CITATION

Mr. Coder is recognized for his outstanding leadership in revising the standard for evaluating coexistence of wireless devices, including medical, automotive, and cellular-communication devices. It significantly improves prior test methodology by providing streamlined testing, updated guidance to match new technologies and applications, and -- for the first time -- a “two-way coexistence test.” As chair, he led the large, diverse, and sometimes contentious working group of government agencies, industry, and academia for several years to ultimately reach a consensus agreement.
