AWARD CITATION
This group is honored for their superb contributions in developing and delivering a cost-effective client-endpoint repurposed program. This new program was a proactive approach to address the need for desktop and laptop computers that would enable NIST to transition to a telework/hybrid work environment, meet the TPM 2.0 IT security mandate, and for the first time, provide standardized Windows-based laptops for the SURF and SHIP programs at minimal cost to NIST. Since July 2021, the NIST pre-owned technology program has saved NIST $700K in desktop and laptop computer costs.
