The group is recognized for bringing holistic expertise from multiple backgrounds to research, plan and implement guidance and procedures for OFPM personnel to recondition NIST ventilation systems for the Phase 1 reopening of NIST campuses. The team also established guidelines for determining requirements and criteria for ventilation systems for shared spaces. The team’s work was recognized by other federal agencies as a best practice model and was emulated by them. This multi-OU group was the model of a One NIST approach to problem resolution in managing the safety of NIST staff, associates and visitors.
