2019 Colleagues' Choice Award

Vogl is recognized for outstanding leadership of the Engineering Laboratory (EL) SURF student review and selection process in 2019. As the head EL SURF technical representative, Vogl successfully led the EL SURF team in a new student matching and review procedure within a compressed timeline this year. His determination to help NIST’s mission by getting the right people for the right projects and his compassion for the students and their success as researchers is unparalleled. He is the perfect embodiment of the qualities and criteria of the Colleague’s Choice Award. Without Vogl's committed involvement, many projects and students would have been left out of SURF 2019 in EL.
