Mr. Connelly is recognized for his exemplary performance as a research facilities operations technician at the NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR). He has distinguished himself as a precision machinist by creating numerous one-of-a-kind mechanical parts that enable groundbreaking neutron measurements to be performed. He routinely exceeds all customer expectations by proactively contributing to the concepts and designs of new neutron instrumentation and crucial parts that allow NCNR users from around the world to make optimal use of scarce neutron beam time. His contributions are fundamental to many of the successes of the scientific and engineering communities at the NCNR.
