AWARD CITATION
Dr. Kulvatunyou and Dr. Ivezic are recognized for the development of a new software tool, called the Messaging Standard Semantic Refinement Tool, which is key to deployment of new data standards to support advanced manufacturing – allowing substantial time and cost savings. The tool is used in commercial development and testing of the Open Applications Group (OAG) Integration Specification for manufacturing services, which is an essential integration component in advanced, networked manufacturing systems. The use of the tool has resulted in significant improvement in the quality of the OAG standard, higher productivity through rapid standards deployment, and increased interoperability of manufacturing systems.
