EDUCATOR
I bring a deeply integrated background in cybersecurity instruction, curriculum design, and real-world technical application. I teach Virginia Cybersecurity courses 6302, 6304, and 6306, including dual enrollment through Piedmont Community College, and align my curriculum directly to CompTIA Security+ objectives. My instruction includes hands-on labs, OSINT investigations, cryptography, malware analysis, vulnerability scanning, and incident response.
I hold 18 post-graduate cybersecurity credits from DePaul University, supplementing my Master’s in Education with advanced study of network defense, penetration testing, systems security, forensic fundamentals, and secure architecture.
My work has been recognized at both state and national levels. I was named Teach Cyber Educator of the Year (2022), awarded CodeHS Certified Educator (2022), and most recently honored as the Virginia Cyber Range Educator of the Year (2025) for innovative lab integration and program leadership.
I advise multiple cyber organizations including FBLA, Cyber Club, Coding Club, and Girls Who Code, with students earning statewide recognition such as the Cyberslam CTF Cyber Challenge championship.
I am passionate about equitable access, AI-integrated instruction, leadership mentoring, and designing learning environments where every student sees cybersecurity as accessible, engaging, and achievable.
