Dr. Kirk Adams is a national leader in workforce inclusion and accessibility, with over 25 years of experience aligning government, corporate, nonprofit, and community stakeholders to advance opportunities for people who are blind. As the immediate past President and CEO of the American Foundation for the Blind, Dr. Adams led transformative initiatives to promote equity in education, employment, and technology access.
Currently, he serves as a strategic advisor to The Apex Program, a pioneering virtual training and certification initiative designed to launch blind individuals into successful careers in cybersecurity. His work with Apex reflects his deep commitment to creating scalable, systems-level solutions that break down barriers to employment for underserved populations.
Dr. Adams holds a Ph.D. in Leadership and Change from Antioch University, with a research focus on systems transformation and inclusive leadership. Drawing from both lived experience and academic expertise, he brings a unique perspective to the evolving field of cybersecurity education and workforce development.
As a NICE Community Ambassador, I am dedicated to championing inclusive pathways into cybersecurity careers, ensuring that accessibility and equity remain at the forefront of national workforceefforts.
