NIST has released Internal Report (IR) 8557 for the Virtual Workshop on Usable Cybersecurity and Privacy for Immersive Technologies run by NIST and hosted by the Symposium in Usable Privacy and Security (SOUPS) on August 7th, 2024. The Workshop consisted of a keynote presentation, two research report presentations, and a panel discussion. Discussion yielded interesting insights on potential use cases for immersive technologies, cybersecurity and privacy considerations, and novel challenges and opportunities for the field.
