BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND, A NEW SHOWCASE OF NIST INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES IS COMING SOON

by Christopher Hunton

NIST INNOVATIVE TECHOLOGIES SHOWCASE 2

Just three months ago, NIST’s Technology Partnerships Office (TPO) hosted a virtual program that brought together scientific and technological business community members with several innovative NIST scientists. The purpose was to highlight and publicize various fields of recent leading-edge NIST research with considerable potential for commercialization.

The program was a resounding success. TPO plans to follow up on that outcome by repeating the winning formula in another innovative technologies showcase program slated to be held virtually on March 13, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm EDT.

What was the formula that made the September 2022 event so popular?

Four scientists from NIST’s Physical Measurement Laboratory went into depth on the specifics of their work and detailed their research results at the virtual event. Then they spoke of how those results, now ready for commercialization, could be brought to both the public square and the market and of the consequent benefits to society and the U.S. economy.

A lively panel discussion describing ways and means of collaborative research with NIST followed the individual presentations.  And the business participants received an informative presentation detailing the process of licensing NIST technologies with keen interest.

The target audience was enthusiastic about the market potential of the research and reported that the program was insightful and informative.

Planning for the March 13 showcase is well underway.  Four scientists have been invited to present research ready for commercialization, and potential business participants are being alerted to the event.

Be sure save the date.  Join us virtually on March 13, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm, to learn about new and exciting NIST research and opportunities to introduce into the marketplace.

And watch for our updates.  They will have new details on the fields of science to be discussed and on the specifics of attending and participating.
