Call for Participation: Join Project Teams to Implement NICE Strategic Plan Objectives

The NICE Community Coordinating Council is pleased to announce the formation of five new Project Teams that will execute upon items contained in the Implementation Plan for the NICE Strategic Plan.  Project Teams are expected to have a 6-month duration with deliverables due by the summer.  We are inviting NICE community members to join one or more of the Project Teams to contribute your ideas and expertise.  Below is a summary of each Project Team and instructions for how to join:

Multiple Career Pathways for Cybersecurity
This project team will seek to implement Objective 1.2 to “increase understanding of multiple learning pathways and credentials that lead to careers that are identified in the Workforce Framework for Cybersecurity (NICE Framework).”

Improve the Quality and Availability of Cybersecurity Credentials
This project team will seek to implement Objective 2.3 to “improve the quality and availability of credentials (e.g., diplomas, degrees, certificates, certifications, badges) that validate competencies.”

Incorporating Cybersecurity into a Public Service Education
This project team will seek to implement Objective 2.2 to “advocate for multidisciplinary approaches that integrate cybersecurity across varied curricula that support diverse learners from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.”

Cybersecurity Career-Entry Guidance for Employers
This project team will seek to implement Objective 3.3 from an employer’s perspective to “align qualification requirements according to proficiency levels to reflect the competencies and capabilities required to perform tasks in the NICE Framework” and Objective 3.4 to “promote the establishment of more entry-level positions and opportunities that provide avenues for growth and advancement.”

Cybersecurity Career-Entry Guidance for Job Seekers
