NIST Awards $992,050 to the MEP Center in New Jersey

The U.S. Commerce Department’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) has made one (1) additional cooperative agreement award as part of its 2017-NIST-MEP-CAP-01 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). 

The following MEP Center will receive an award totaling $992,050 to add capabilities to the MEP Program including the development of projects to solve new or emerging manufacturing problems that are not already provided for under a Center’s base MEP award.  

New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Partnership, Inc. (Cedar Knolls)

The MEP Center in New Jersey is conducting a project that builds technical capabilities of multiple MEP Centers to engage Food Manufacturing (FM) companies and to deliver Food Safety and Modernization Act (FSMA) training, client driven compliance consulting and FM operations efficiency consulting. The project period of performance is 9/1/2019 to 8/31/2021 totaling $992,050 in federal funds. Collaborators include MEP Centers in Georgia, Montana, Nebraska and Ohio.
