Calling all first responders: NIST needs your feedback!

Nationwide Usability Survey Targets First Responders

Clipboard icon

NIST recently launched a nationwide survey on public safety communication technology and needs input from first responders.

If you’re a first responder, please help NIST by taking this short research survey: https://publicsafety.nist.gov/survey/pscr

This research is part of the PSCR User Interface/User Experience portfolio. As part of this effort, NIST needs feedback from Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, and 911/Dispatch.

The 15-minute survey asks questions about the communication technology first responders currently use, need, and want in the future. Participation is voluntary, and responses are confidential.

This survey expands NIST research previously presented at PSCR Stakeholders meetings based on nationwide interviews with first responders. The full report is available here: https://nvlpubs.nist.gov/nistpubs/ir/2018/NIST.IR.8216.pdf

First responder input is vital to this effort! NIST is hoping to hear from as many first responders as possible across the country.

Sharing this survey link (https://publicsafety.nist.gov/survey/pscr) with any public safety personnel is encouraged.

For questions or concerns about the survey, please contact Kristen Greene at NIST at 301-975-8119 or kristen.greene [at] nist.gov (kristen[dot]greene[at]nist[dot]gov).
