NIST PILOT computer

The NIST PILOT computer in 1961.

Designed by NIST in 1958, the NIST PILOT computer contained three independently programmed systems that could communicate and work together concurrently on a common problem. The PILOT has been called one of the earliest examples of multiprocessor computer architecture.
