TREC is an annual evaluation workshop series hosted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The workshop's goal is to encourage research in information retrieval by providing large test collections, uniform scoring procedures, and a forum for organizations interested in comparing their results.

This year, TREC tracks included AutoJudge, Change Detection, Million LLM, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), RAG TREC Instrument for Multilingual Evaluation (RAGTIME), User Simulation, and Video Question Answering (VQA).

Who should attend the conference?

Participation in the workshop is strongly encouraged for individuals who participated in the previous TREC conference tracks. More information about the TREC program can be found on the TREC project page, https://trec.nist.gov/
