Bill Fisher, the public safety lead for NIST NCCoE and his team have been working for the past 8 years to help public safety organizations implement cybersecurity standards and best practices.  The Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy versions 5.9.2 (CJISSECPOL) and later require the use of MFA to protect access to CJI. This requirement is sanctionable for audit per CJISSECPOL beginning October 1, 2024.

The NCCoE is running this webinar to bring Information Security Officers from federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial criminal justice agencies together with product vendors for technologies such as, Message Switches, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Record Management Systems (RMS), to discuss common use cases and architectures that can be implemented to protect CJI.
