The National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) will host a workshop on Wednesday, February 26, at the Marriott Marquis in San Francisco to explore how diverse organizations can apply and use the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework, a common taxonomy and lexicon for describing cybersecurity work in both the public and private sectors.
Organizations are applying the NICE Framework in order to better define the roles of their cybersecurity team and to create clear career pathways to improve hiring and training programs. To increase awareness, understanding, and use of the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework, the NICE program office is developing materials that show how diverse organizations from employers to education and training providers apply and use the NICE Framework. Use cases describe specific situations in which the NICE Framework can be used. Each use case is supported by case studies submitted by organizations that can demonstrate an effective practice or solution. This interactive workshop will help identify additional use cases and establish a process for developing case studies that will help encourage the voluntary adoption of the NICE Framework.
