First Execution-Interoperable Process Model Formally Adopted
The
Object Management Group (OMG) Board of Directors voted to formally adopt the first standard process metamodel that enables interoperable performance, enactment, execution, and reasoning on business processes by rigorously modeling common-sense notions of time and process, as formalized in
Process Specification Language. Conrad Bock developed the advanced metamodeling techniques used in
Business Process Definition Metamodel to ensure compatibility with PSL, documented the metamodel, gave presentations leading to adoption, and gave a detailed tutorial to the OMG.
