Mr. VanSchalkwyk is a senior EHS central administrator at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In this capacity he is responsible for development of Institute EHS strategy and for the development and implementation of a campus-wide comprehensive EHS management system. He is also responsible for such issues emerging into EHS systems such as security of hazardous materials and emergency preparedness.
VanSchalkwyk has extensive environmental management experience, is a certified safety professional and certified hazardous materials manager. He has more than twenty years experience in EHS management formerly in the corporate organization of a Fortune 50 corporation and for the past nine years at MIT.
